It is the night of Clara's Christmas Party and all of her friends have arrived to dance with her. As the party gets under way with merrymaking the home bursts alive with the sights and sounds of Christmas. Clara and her friends fill the room with dance and mingle the night away in celebration.

As the evening closes Clara, her mother and their housekeeper bid adieu to their departing guests. In fine holiday tradition Clara, her mother and the maid begin to decorate their tree. Each treasured ornament gets important consideration as they find the perfect bough for each shiny Silver Bell, Nutcracker Soldier and every swag of dancing Holly.

Tired from such an eventful evening, young Clara is lulled to sleep by the twinkling lights of the newly decorated tree. In her slumber Cherubs appear whispering her dreams and transporting her to the Land of Snow where she dances with the snowflakes. It is a world of icy beauty and magical secrets.


Clara follows her dreams and is led by her Cherubs to the Kingdom of Sweets where they are met by Heavenly Angels. It is there where she meets the enchanting Dew Drop Fairy of the Flowers. This place is like no other she has ever imagined. When Clara is crowned Sugar Plum Fairy she marvels at her good fortune.

In this new world she watches in amazement as all of the Sweets of the kingdom dance for her, their newly crowned queen. Before her eyes she sees an exotic world of Spanish Chocolates, Arabian Coffee, and Chinese Tea surge to life. Russian candy canes twirl with abandon while Danish Marzipan and sugary Bon Bons dance to honor her majesty.

Overcome with appreciation Clara, transformed into the Sugar Plum Fairy, then dances to the delight of all in the Kingdom of Sweets. Joining their queen all the sweets unite to dance in celebration. Suddenly as if spellbound the Cherubs return Clara from the magical place far away back to her warm home and the cozy sofa where she lay sleeping. Clara slumbers on dreaming of her travels and the Nutcracker Prince that one day might appear?
